Quote of the Week
"Observe God's kindness and tenderness towards His people, in His providential dealing with them; when He takes away one comfort from them, He gives them another instead of it, which may prove a greater blessing to them than that was in which they thought their lives were bound up." - From Matthew Henry's Commentary on Genesis 4

Shea Breagy's Baptism

On Sunday, June 6, we have the great privilege of baptizing Shea Breagy. We desire people to be baptized as believers so that they can identify themselves as God's people. In our culture, many people are saved but are not baptized. That is because we don't really consider how important baptism is. Baptism is commanded by God and is often the first act of obedience towards Him. It is also one of two ordinances of the church (the other being communion) and a time when a believer makes their profession of faith public. But, most importantly, it is a visual representation of the Gospel. Often the question is How? Well, when we are baptized, we are making the old man die and the new man raise from the dead with Christ.
